Bachelorette’s Dress
It seems nowadays there are as many bachelorette parties as there are bachelor parties, and from what I hear almost as risque! Although, from personal experience, I wouldn’t know . . . (wink)! So while I was working on my bridal ensemble, I decided to design a bachelorette’s card.
Designing this card for my wedding series was a blast. The bachelorette image is the same stamp that I used for the bridal card. I cut the bun off the back of the head and adhered it to the top, covering the seam with micro mini pearls. A watercolored flower and leaves were attached near the pearls creating a head piece. The close up picture below shows the detail. I love adding small details, a pearl necklace, earring, bracelet, and ring were added to the image. The pearls were adhered with Crystal effects. I placed them on the adhesive by licking the tip of a toothpick, picking up a pearl and placing it down on the adhesive (okay I know this sounds really gross, but it’s a great tip and it works). The pearls stick perfectly to the end of the wet toothpick and then come off easily when placed on the adhesive. I used a toothpick to draw the jewelry lines with Crystal Effects (a wonderful adhesive). The gorgeous black dress is a Jolee’s sticker.
You can see the headpiece much better in the close up, the mini pearls are so pretty, they are less than 1mm in size. I used a craft knife to cut out the leaves and flowers.
I use a lot of dimensionals in my designs and would like to share a tip for all the newbie stampers who may follow my blog. Don’t throw away the negative portion of the panels the dimensionals are on. I’ve attached a photograph to show you how I use mine so that nothing is wasted.
These are dimensionals from Stampin’ Up! and All Night Media. On the left you’ll see Stampin’ Up!’s sheet. Once I’ve finished using all the dimensionals, I then cut around the outer frame and use those pieces as well, it doesn’t matter what the dimensional looks like since it’s on the back of your project. Stampin’ Up! is very smart in the layout of their design, placing them on the sheet in a honey comb pattern. All Night Media uses circles, leaving a lot of waste. As you can see from the right side of my sheet, I cut the negative pieces and use those on my projects as well, leaving no waste. I like using both of these products. Stampin’ Up!’s dimensional are thinner and perfect in some designs, whereas All Night Media’s dimensionals are a little thicker and sometimes I need the extra thickness in other designs.

I LOVE seeing your detail shots Jerri, it really does your craftsmanship so much more justice. Gorgeous.
What are your plans for Thanksgiving, will your college man be home???
These cards are just stunning! What amazing work you do!
Jerri, I can hardly wait to click on your blog to see what you’ve done! You never disappoint, my friend!! This is so exquisite and the detailing is a testiment to the care you put into ever piece you touch. You are simply the consummate artist!!
Jerri I love this card too! Your attnetion to detail is Fantastic. You have so many great ideas that you always pass along. The negative of the pearls and such is a great tip. I too look for a use for most of what comes from packageing etc. I reuse the hard plastic from many products to punch out snowflakes this time of year and put them into a bowl of diamond dust to turn them shiney bright! Stuff like that….makes something new out of something used and I love it! Thanks for all of your wonderful tips, and for sharing all your beautiful artwork.
Such beauty and feminine grace! Gorgeous paper and stickers and the way you put it all together is breathtaking!
OMG Jerri, your detail art is just amazing. I can’t even imagine how many hours it must take for you to create a card like this…….how would you ever give it away?!!? TFS and Inspiring
Jerri, this card is amazing. Each project seems more beautiful than the one before. I do the same thing with all my dimensionals, Jerri. I keep every last bit of it.
Jerri, Wow This is absolutely stunning. I love all your little details and each thing you do is awesome. Thanks for the tooth pick tip too!

Jerri this is just gorgeous!!! Hope you have a great weekend.
Stunning Jerri!! Wow!! Love the black dress with the soft violet flowers!! And the hint of sheer black on the dress bottom is awesome!! Love the sparkle and all the fabulous detail on this!! WOW!!
Wow, Jerri, this is GORGEOUS!!! The detail on it is just incredible! The pearls, and headpiece, and sparkle….sigh….so so so fabulous! I love the tip on licking the toothpick too…gross or not, it sounds like a good tip to me! {{hugs}}
So pretty Jerri! What a pretty gal with gorgeous jewelry!
Thanks for the tip with the toothpick/pearls. My question is– if you don’t use your crystal effects often, how do you keep the tip from clogging up? I have tried leaving a pin in, using a pin to clean it…YKWIM?
I just discovered your blog, and I am so glad I found it! You are an amazing artiste! Love this card! It is done beautifullllllly!!!!!
Hugs from Pakistan!

*THUD* Everything you do is always SO AMAZING!! The detail on this is out of this world FABULOUS! Love this, Jerri!
Stunning, as usual! I love those tiny pearls and all the sparkles! So elegant!
I use the negative pieces of my dimensionals too. I even cut most of the whole ones in half because I think they’re often too big for what I need.
You know I love all you designs, Jerri, but the birdal cards are my absolute favorite!!! The details on these cards are amazing…too spectacular for words!!!!! You are one FANTASTIC talent, my friend!!!
Wow very elegant card. Kim
Hello Jerri
I just found your site today and all I can say is WOW! The calendar pages are so beautiful, my favorite is the November page as my birthday is November 29 also! So Happy Birthday early!
a new fan
Absolutely stunning and so elegant. I use the ‘garbage’ from my Stampin Up! stamps (the stuff left after you cut the stamps out) for my dimensionals.
Absolutely stunning!!! The wedding series cards are definitely keepsakes! TFS
This is just beautiful! Love all the details you put into this!
I am in awe. Your cards are the most beautiful detailed designs I have ever seen.
Another beauty! Love the fancy oval “frame” on this one. Linda
Jerri, I’ve been in love with this set since the first time I wandered through your gallery at SCS. I’m loving the details of how you made it! Thanks so much for sharing them. It’s given me some great ideas for a set of cards with those Victorian ladies from Cape Arago.
Dumb question here… when you use something like dazzling diamonds or crystal effects, do you put something like mica powder or glitter with it? I’ve got all of this “fancy schmancy” stuff and I’m floundering with it! (Okay, learning, LOL, but the learning curve seems to be longer than usual!)
Cathy
Gorgeous! Love the oval floral frame behind the bridesmaid…so elegant!
Girl, your attention to every little tiny detail just blows me away — my perspective on stamping is let’s make it big and get it done quick — LOL!!! I can not FATHOM doing what you do so effortlessly (or so it appears, I KNOW the amount of work it takes)!!! Thank you for continuing to share your beautiful creations!!! I, too, use every last bit of all my dimensional products!!!
