Year in Review and New Year’s Resolutions

Published by at 4:05 pm under Projects in General

Another year has come and gone.  It seems the older I get, the quicker the years go by.  As I celebrated my 51st birthday in November, I looked in the mirror and saw a few more wrinkles, a few (lot) more gray hair, age spots starting to appear  .    .    .  and I thought to myself  how much I’ve been blessed this year.

My New Year’s resolutions are to ask God to give me the grace to age with dignity, to embrace all that life brings me this coming year with joy and anticipation, to face each challenge with an open mind, to eat healthy, to be thankful for each and every day with my family and to be closer to God in prayer.

This year brought the challenge of a new craft for me. I’ve enjoyed sharing with you my progress on my journey into learning parchment craft and several of the techniques involved.  I hope to share many more parchment designs in the coming year, as well as learning new techniques in all forms of paper crafting.  I look forward to new challenges the coming year will be bringing!

I’ve enjoyed reviewing end-of-year pictures from my fellow bloggers and would like to share with you some of my favorites designs from this year (click on image for larger view):

Thank you so much for spending a bit of your time with me this year, I hope you’ll be back in the coming year.

I wish you a wonderful new year with loads of crafting fun!

God Bless You!

Though the outer man decays the inner man is being renewed daily going from glory to glory. (My translation). Though I have 14 years on you, Jerri, with the physical evidences of age creeping in uninvited, the joy of the Lord truly, truly, keeps me focused and in tune with whats important.
He has given me such pleasure in appreciating the gifts He has given others, such as yourself. My eye sees those beautiful creations of yours and I can’t help but link up the gift with the Giver. Another Day, Another Adventure, my little grandson said of the unknown day ahead…hurray for 2011…go Jerri, go.

Age spots schmage spots — those are beauty marks! I’ve always thought the folks who are most accepting of the aging process are those who have something more going on than mere superficial beauty. Your beauty is certainly more than skin deep. Happy new year to you!
