Spellbinders – Valentine’s Card

Happy Valentine’s Day! Wishing you all a very special day with your sweethearts!

I made this Valentine’s card on a “grand” scale  .   .    .  literally  .   .   .  I used the Grand Squares dies from Spellbinders. I love the La Creme paper from DCWV, so perfect for these Valentine’s designs! Can you imagine receiving a card like this? My hubby will, one of these days .   .   .  LOL!

I love the Parisian Accents dies, the borders are so beautiful, as well as the other dies included in the set! For a bit of elegance I tucked in some scrumptious May Arts black sheer ribbon over the gorgeous black and ivory striped grosgrain ribbon. And, of course, a bit of whimsy with the ladybug brass bead. I love the Spring Green spider mums, so easy to make with SpellbindersDaisy Heads dies.

The Blossom Three dies have fast become one of my favorite sets, as well as the Foliage set!  I know those dies have most likely found a permanent niche on my desktop.

To complete the card I added some decorative touches on the inside as well. I think I’ll keep this piece on the fireplace mantle during the Valentine’s holiday. When storing it, I’ll place a bit of bubble wrap on the inside to protect the rose.
