Just A Little Giveaway

Hi girls, I’m back today with two blue coordinating note cards that match the yellow notecards posted here

Lately I’ve received e-mails from some of you asking if I sell my cards. The answer is no, I don’t. To be completely honest, I wouldn’t know how to price them. Most of my work is given to family and close personal friends. Some pieces are kept for inspiration.

I’d like to share these sweet note cards with you and am offering them in a giveaway. I’m giving them away in pairs which means there will be two recipients. I’m not sure how to give them and would like suggestions from you. If you were to receive a pair, would you prefer one of each or two of the same color? To be eligible to receive the note cards all you have to do is leave a comment telling me if you were chosen by Random.org, which you would prefer. I’ll poll the results.

To increase your chances of being selected, you may leave one comment every day through Sunday (if you come back to comment daily to increase your chances, share with me what you plan to do with the cards if you win). Sunday evening on or before 9:00 p.m. EST I’ll announce the two recipients of my giveaway. These little note cards are perfect tags for bags, gifts or just to let someone special know you’re thinking of them. I think you’re going to love them!

I’ve included a picture of the entire set of cards. I was considering giving them all away in one giveaway, but thought it would be fun to have two winners. Spread the word to all your friends to come visit and leave a comment for a chance to receive a pair. Shopping links for the products used to complete these cards are provided at the bottom of this post under the heading “Supplies Used”.

I’m having a hard time deciding if I’d prefer to have two blues, two yellows or one of each. Mother’s Day is around the corner, wouldn’t one of the cards be so pretty on a Mother’s Day gift or attached to a bag with a gift inside! What do you think, would your mom like to have one of these sweet little note cards attached to her gift? This is the card that I’m giving my mom.

And one last thing before I go. I’ve received several comments and e-mails asking how I emboss the leaves so that it appears that they have dew drops on them. I’ll be back very soon with a tutorial to show you a very simple technique for realistic looking leaves  .   .   .  I think you’re going to be surprised and I think you’re going to laugh!!!

I can’t wait to read your comments to see what your preferences are and what you’ll do with the cards if you’re selected by Randon.org!

Hi, gorgeous cards and I love your blog. I’ve taken the time to look through it entirely. What beautiful work and indescribable talent. If I were to win, I would love one of each. They would go to friends I rarely get to see. These cards would definitely bring them out of their busy lives for a visit :). Thanks for sharing.

I would LOVE to be chosen to receive your beautiful note cards…one in yellow and one in blue please! I would place them on the window sill above my desk to enjoy while crafting – then, take pictures so I can continue to enjoy – then, give originals to someone else to enjoy, since my adoptive Mom and biological Mom are in Heaven. Now all I have to do is win – thnks for the chance.

Oh Jerri what a wonderful ‘give away’ I so fell in love with your Mum’s note card when you shared it with us. I would feel so priveleged to win one of each colour. I have a very special cyber friend who, although has not been in good health herself, has been a rock to me with the problems I have with my dear daughter and my way of saying thank you would be to send her one of your stunning pieces of art. The other one I would keep for myself and put it in a frame. Oh to own one of your creations would feel truly priveleged.
Thank you so much for the chance of being able to win this wonderful prize.

    Love Sheila xx

  9. Bette S says:

Oh wow, a chance to win two of your cards!! One of each color, please! My Mom died in 1972, so I can’t give it to her, unfortunately, so I would keep them for myself (I’m selfish!), but I would use them to try and make one like it. Can hardly wait for the tutorial on the leaves. You are so very talented and must have lots of patience to make your gorgeous creations. Beautiful works of art! Please, please draw my name!

  10. Sue K (Australia) says:

Gorgeous card set Jerri, just beautiful – and how beautiful of you to share them with us!!!! (well we ALL hope anyway)
IF i were blessed enough to win – i would love one of each – because i would love to keep one to use for inspiration and TRY to make one and the other i would LOVE to give to my mother – cos she is the most beautiful Mum and altho i do make her cards – i just know she would love to receive one as stunning as this.
    Good luck everyone!

  11. Anita says:

One of each for me, please! I would just love to see one of your creations up close and personal! Your work is amazing. I think I would have to take your cards to my card group and just do a wee bit of bragging about my good fortune, and then keep them until I had just studied them to pieces, then maybe send them to a couple of well-deserving people (my sister, or a special aunt, in which case, I would have to make a couple more!)

  12. Linda Scott says:

    Hi,
O my goodness what a wonderful thing to receive, your work is just so fantastic.

Since they are not identical I would definitely want 1 of each. What a great way to be inspired and have some eye candy at the same time! I’ve always thought you’re work to be so beautiful and intricate that I would never be able to do it so being able to see it up close and personal could spark some hope that I could actually attempt something Jerrific.

  19. Kittie says:

I would defintely want one of each color. They would never be given away but would be hung as art in my stamp room. They are both gorgeous, Jerri!

  30. Carol Pinkey says:

Oh my, Jerri! You make it so difficult! How can a person decide between the 2 sets? Both are beautiful! That being said, I would chose to receive one of each color. I would keep one for inspiration, and give the other to a close friend/family member who treasures hand made items (a person that I know who would KEEP the card! Thanks for your beautiful inspiration.

  31. Lizzie says:

As usual such great ideas and inspiration. These cards are just delightful and would love to have one of each. I so enjoy opening up your link every day and keep going back to look at all the wonderful things on your blog. Thank you so much.

  32. Jenny says:

I would like one of each. These are just beautiful. I tried to buy the products but wouldn’t you just know, they are “out of stock”. That happens so often with Spellbinders – guess that just proves what great products they have.

  33. Mary Guikema says:

I would love one of each color. I don’t think I would be able to send them out, but would keep them for inspiration for myself. I might show them to people, but I don’t think I could actually part with them.

  34. Donna Mc says:

I would be so honored to have some of your artwork Jerri. I’d keep one for inspiration and send one to a friend who is fighting the fight against Stage IV stomach cancer. I send her cards weekly, but of course my efforts in card making pale against your creativity. Thanks for such a generous gesture.
    dmc

  35. Belinda says:

I absolutely love your blog. i love all of your creations and everytime you use a new spellbinder die it becomes a must have on my wishlist….pity my wish list has blown way more then my budget….oh well these things happen.
I’d love one of each colour of these amazing cards. but my main problem is which one would i keep and which one would i give to my friend for being such an amazing support to my own crafting dreams.
and for my final little comment to put here…..I’m off to attempt those flowers and leaves….they look awesome. wonder if they will end up as amazing as yours.
thanks for the inspiration…Bel from Australia

  36. Ellen B says:

I might be just a little selfish and keep one for myself for inspiration and a little mothers day gift to myself! One of each color would be wonderful. These two oval dies have been added to my list of must have. I love the Spellbinder dies as they make such a finished looking product. My children absolutely loved their Easter cards this year. Thanks for all the inspiration you provide to the card making artists.

  37. Debbie S. says:

I would be honored to have any card at all! Your creations are magnificent and I look forward to your postings! Each one is a magnificent work of art. I need to update my wish list to include some more dies!!!!

I would keep one for inspiration – probably put it up in a grotto or something as I’m so very impressed and in awe of your work! I can see why people would ask if you sell your work, as I’d buy a card and display as a work of art. Thank you for sharing your work and how-to’s!

  48. Linda Page says:

If I am lucky enough to win, I would like one of each color. I would save one for inspiration. One I would frame and give to my mother for her 95th birthday in August. I make cards for her to send to her friends for birthdays, get well, etc. but she has a hard time letting go of them. She likes to keep them and look at my handiwork. Aren’t Mothers great! I know she would love to have one of your works of art hanging in her bedroom.

I would be ecstatic to have either colour as both are beautiful.
One I would treasure and keep as it would inspire me.
The other would be for my lovely Mum who was my Mother, sister and friend.
I keep a table of memories of her at my Dads and the card would sit next to her photo. She would have loved it as she did the cards I made for her.

    Lynne

  55. Diane says:

These are beautiful, I would have to say I would prefer 2 of the same cards, that way I would not have to decide which one to share with a friend and which one for me to keep as inspiration, lol. Your Mom’s card is breathtaking!

I would love to receive one in each color.

  57. Flirtini83 says:

  58. Gabriela says:

Oh my goodness! A Jerri Kay giveaway! It doesn’t get much better than this. Both color combinations are fantastic. I think one of each would make a lovely gift. I’d definitely bestow one to my mother on Mother’s Day. The other — well, I’d hang on to it for inspiration and eventually send it to a special friend who just recently lost her husband.

  59. Dottie says:

Having won the amazing Beatrice Potter banner already I am only leaving this comment on the question asked, “What colors would I choose.” I would choose one of each. Having two mothers to a couple, that would mean they would be receive something different on Mother’s Day. Sweet little cards and I, too, was noticing the water spots and wondering if you flecked water on them to look like dew. Nothing like a little suspense to keep us on the edge of our chairs. Love it!

  69. I have to stop checking your blog first thing in the morning since I just sit and gaze at your cards and get nothing else done! Hahaha! Oh well, it sounds like a good excuse for doing nothing around the house, doesn’t it?
I love your soft blue and yellow combinations with those gorgeous flowers. Those colours grounded with the deep mottled green is breathtaking. The little sprinkling of butterflies and the dainty little pearls on the scallops are perfect embellishments to add some whimsy and elegance.
Thank you so much for sharing! :)

  70. Pinky says:

My arthritic hands are neither as steady nor as nimble as they once were, but the detailed work has given me more dexterity. Besides, I’m loving the results! I have you to thank with your generous tutorials and your wonderful inspiration.
Thanks also fot the chance to win!

  73. Mary Brautigam says:

OH MY! These are simply stunning!!! This is the first I’ve discovered your BLOG, and wow! I would LOVE a chance to win a set of these. If I were to receive them, one of each color would be perfect… one to give my Mom (have fave color is purple) and one to give my best friend (her fave color is yellow). Thanks so much for sharing. PS I can’t wait to see your post for how to make the leaves so realistic-looking.
    -Mary in Milpitas

  74. Caro Trovillo says:

I would like one of each. I just found your blog a couple of weeks ago.
You make so many gorgeous cards. I would have to keep one just to
figure out how you did it!! Thanks.

  75. Marina says:

Hi Jerri, can’t believe it! Going back to our yesterday’s conversation about how your work inspires me, you give us a chance to actually win your card, and have it for constant inspiration!
    Thanks for the chance!

    Hi Jerri,
I just love your cards and all your work. You are a big inspiration for my work. Can’t wait to try making some of your flowers myself.

    Darlene

  77. Debbie says:

These cards are so beautiful! If I won, I’d like to have one of each color and what would I do with them? Well, my mom passed away in 2007 and I miss her every day but most especially on Mother’s Day and her birthday–but if she were here with us, I would give one to her because she would LOVE them. But I can’t do that so what I would do is give one to each of my sisters for Mother’s Day or their birthdays and they would be so happy to get one!

  78. Denise Trottier says:

    Dearest Jerri,

How generous of you to offer these as gifts!!! If I won, I would like one of each…I would show my friends your work as I talk about you so often and tell them what a true and amazing artist you truly are…As I’ve said before in comments ”Your home must be a sight for sore eyes”…
I would also display them to show my students and it would be like having a piece of you with me for I know of no one who does so many different things so successfully…Whether I win or not, you are always so appreciated and I always look forward to seeing what you will do next to surprise me…thank you soooo much for sharing your exquisite work and talent with all of us…your friends are so lucky to have you to receive these one of a kind gifts…take care…hugs…
    Denise Trottier

  79. Joan Ervin says:

WOW, Jerri….the flowers on these cards are absolutely gorgeous….I am sooo blessed to have two of your spectacular cards displayed in my craft room but since I’m a little greedy, I would love to have two more…LOL!!!! If I was lucky enough to win, I would like one of each color and add them to my collection…I can’t imagine giving them to anyone else…I don’t share well!!!

  80. Jessica says:

Very pretty Jerri, as always! I love the combo of blue and yellow. There’s something very …. um…. clean. I think that’s what I mean… There are all sorts of other color combo’s that are very pretty. But blue and yellow has it’s own different place in the color world.
Thanks for sharing these sweet little cards.
    Hugs, Jess

  81. Kathy Burris says:

I would love to have one each of the beautiful note cards. Thank you so much for the opportunity to have something from your absolutely amazing talent. I appreciate so much that you share your creations with all of us and especially appreciate the wonderful tutorials you provide.

  82. Jane Harrah says:

STUNNING! These are stunning, I love both colors and would find, like with many beautfiul creations, I bond with them and can’t give them up! Lauging as I type this as I am trying very hard to get better at this. I have bookmarked your site as I MUST learn to make the flowers, they are STUNNING!!!

  83. I love all of your work and if I won I would keep the cards — probably frame them and hang on my craft room wall. All of your flowers are so beautiful and I know it must take a lot of time and patience making these. One of each color would work because then you could hang a pair of them on the wall. I would never part with something this exquiset! Thanks for the chance to win something you made!

  84. Angel Hawks says:

I would love to have one of each color. I love your work! Definitely treasures to keep!

  100. Mary Lou Kemp says:

I would love one of each color These note cards are so sweet so I would probably keep at least one for inspiration but give the other to someone special. I can easily understand why you don’t sell your work because of the tons of work you put in to each project. Thanks for this great giveaway!

  104. Fran says:

Hi Jerri. It would not matter one iota how you decide to give your gorgeous creations away. I know I would absolutely treasure either colour. One would definitely be given to my sweet aunt who will become a young 85 in June. The other to my dearest friend in the world on her 60th birthday.
As always, your creations inspire and awe!
    Fran

These cards are so sweet – I would like one of both! I would give the blue one to my Aunt who never had children as a Mother’s Day card. The yellow one I would keep for myself until I find somone who would really, really appreciate the artistry of your cards. That would be ME of course – LOL.

Thanks for the chance to win them Jerri.

    Hugs
    Tonniece

  117. Pat Jandacek says:

I’d opt for one of each. Usually it does me in to have choices which is why I make 100 Christmas cards of one design….to eliminate having to make choices, lol! But in this instance I’d ultimately send both to my husband’s sister who is in a distant nursing home. To keep in touch we send frequent ‘care’ packages and she likes nothing better than to show off what she gets to the other ladies. I know she’d very much appreciate the beauty and artistic talent of these cards. Hmmm – she might think I made them, hee-hee (she’s always given me much more credit than deserved)!

  118. Donna says:

Just gorgeous! If I win I would prefer one of each color, but would happily accept both of the same color. I lost my mom nearly two years ago but would give them to two of my favorite Aunts. They both are accomplished seamstresses so they appreciate the time and love put into handmade items.

  119. Barbara T says:

    Hi Jerri

I would be happy with whatever I won but if given the opportunity to pick… I would pick two of the blue. I probably would save these for inspiration- even figure a way to perhaps frame them or include in a shadow box. Your work is extraordinary but it is your creativity that lfits you into the major leagues. PS. I started to make my banner.

  120. Janet Sisk says:

I just LOVE your work. You are SO talented. I would feel SO honored to receive a couple of these gorgeous cards. I think that one of each color would be nice. 😀 I would definitely send one to my 93 year old grandmother. She would LOVE the flowers on them. The other one may just have to stay with me for “inspiration”. Thanks for the chance to win. : )

  121. Peggy Allen says:

Hi Jerri, you make the most amazing masterpieces. I love each and every one of them. I would love to win anything you make. One of each color would be wonderful for the recipient who is blessed with the win.

  123. Gretchen Wilson says:

Oh Jerri, what a wonderful surprise for someone to be able to receive one of your cards. Your work is always the best and I understand when you say you wouldn’t know how to price them, because so much time goes into them, besides the love and talent that you put into them. I would be blessed to be able to receive a card from you. I can not stand to delete any of your blogs for fear that I would never see your work again. I just want to keep trying to come close to your artist talent.
    God Bless you and Hugs.

  124. velta says:

I wonder if me being #124 is a “lucky” number…LOL…I just got home from work and saw this amazing give away Jerri…Would love to have a set of these cards of course, YOU know I would! If I did win, I would have to save them and I could not give them to anyone except for maybe ONE, (1) to my DD…If I had a baby curio, I would place them in there on my craft desk and when I saw them I would have to tell myself, “you can do this!” Thanks Jerri :)

Please everyone who sees this message “PRAY” for the people whose families are left behind after the horrendous tornadoes we had here in the south yesterday and last night!

  125. L. Brown says:

I think if I were to win I would like one of each color. I am just in awe of the card you made for you mother.

  126. Val says:

Jerri these are lovely note cards. I would love to have one of each. As I have already sent a Mother’s Day card (she lives in the next province), I would send one card to a friend of mine who does so many wonderful things for me. The other one I’m not sure. Would love to keep one for myself.
I have to say I was a frequent visitor to your blog for a long time and then finally became a follower. I so enjoy all of your beautiful creations and want to say thank you for sharing your amazing talent with the rest of us.

Jerri, if I were lucky enough to win I’d like to have one of each! They’re lovely. Can’t wait for the leaf tutorial, I’d wondered how you got that look. Will be interesting to see if I’m right!
    R/

  133. Denise says:

    Stunning work as always, girlie!

  134. Victoria Merrick says:

Jerri, I would be thrilled with even just one of your notecards!!!!! However, since you are giving away two, I would love to have one of each. I have my thoughts on how you did the “dew drop” look on your leaves and it will be fun to see if I am even close to how you created it.

The notecards are gorgeous and I am ecstatic to be in the drawing for them!

    Hugs,
    Vickie

  135. Margie says:

Jerri: To receive a card that you have made would be a dream come true. I would like to win one of each color. I would keep one and give one to my daughter. But first, I would show them to all my stamping friends and tell them what beautiful cards and projects you make. I have sent your blog to a lot of my friends because I brag about your site ALL the time. Your cards are so gorgeous. The flowers that you make, make Prima look amateurish. Thank you for sharing, and thank you for offering them in pairs so that two people can win. Your blog is the best.

    Margie

  136. Sherry K says:

I would want one of each color…..I would spend some time just looking at them and studying them. If I received them before a luncheon I am working on to serve previously homeless women in a program putting their lives back together I would attach them to the gift bags we are drawing for them….I think it would make them feel special to have such a lovely tag on the bag they receive.

  137. Pat Kinser says:

I have been admiring your artistic projects for a while and you always surprise me with your beautiful ideas. I would love to have one of each color. One for me for inspiration and the other for a teacher my granddaughter has. My granddaughter had a serious injury last fall and this teacher was a pleasant and loving teacher who helped us through that trying time. I would like to thank her again.

  138. Cynde says:

One of each color would be my choice too! I would share them with my friends for inspiration then give one to my friend Margie who told me about your blog. I have been renovating 3 rooms this year and have not been able to create much ART,but I dream about your beautiful Art pieces . Winning one would be great, but winning two would be a dream come TRUE. You truly are an Art ANGEL!
    Miles of Smiles, CYNDE

  144. Beryl says:

Another day, another chance to comment and win those beautiful note cards. One of each color would be fabulous. There is so much sadness in life, sadly I can think of several people whose spirits would be uplifted to receive some of your creative beauty, but if I was lucky enough to get two, I’d just have to hang onto one of them for myself for inspiration. Thanks for the chance.

  145. Chelsea says:

Well, Jerri, the blue ones are just as charming as the yellow ones. It would be tough to chose! So maybe if I won I’d pick one in each color. Hi Jerri, your cards are stunning. Decisions, decisions, how can I decide as they are both simply gorgeous. I love seeing what you come up with. Thanks for sharing and the opportunity to receive one of your amazing cards.

  154. Robbie says:

    Hi Jerri,

Just a quick note… Our daughter graduates from college tomorrow and I still have lots to do for that…..

I’m the manager or our softball team and tonight is the start of our new season. When it rains, it pours (and it has been a deluge the last couple of days). I have had cancellations of players for all sort of reasons for tonight (out of town, illness, sick child, apparently broken foot, etc.)
I have been BUSY trying to find subs and I’m still short, so need to make more calls….

Love your beatiful notes…. I would use one of them for one of the cards I was supposed to make today, but didn’t get to….

  161. DWD says:

What a wonderful giveaway. I would like one of each color. I would keep the cards for inspiration. People that I would give cards to, are in other states. Mailing these cards would be dificult, unless packaged in a box. Thanks so much at a chance to receive these. If I don’t win, congratulations to whomever does. Good Luck!!!

Again, thanks for sharing your talents.

  181. Sherry says:

Oh they are so Beautiful, it would be a shame not to share one and be just as generous as you are. I would choose to admire one of each color for a moment and then, I would ask my daughter which she thought grandma would like best (mother in law) and that would be the one we gifted to her. My daughter and I would continue to share the beauty of the 2nd card. We can draw inspriation from the one… having it up close and in our hands would be such a treat!
