Parchment Painting – Circling and Fine Lines Techniques
The third card I have to show you from Volume 7, The Techniques is done with the Circling and Fine Lines techniques. The card was painted with Pintura acrylic paints on regular parchment paper. The Pintura acrylic paints dry with a beautiful sheen. A sheet of apricot orange parchment paper was inserted inside the card. This card is one of my favorites. The blossoms remind me of some of the beautiful tropical blossoms we have here in Florida.
The design was traced with Tinta White (heart), Tinta Gold (scalloped border) and Leaf Green (leaves) inks onto regular parchment paper and then painted with a Pergamano #2 brush using the Circling technique and Fine Lines technique. Step-by-step instructions and pictures are provided in the book for the techniques. After painting was completed the card was embossed and perforated. One of my favorite techniques (Stippling) was done to fill in the white heart. The design measures measures 3 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. I think this would be a very nice Valentine’s card or maybe a wedding card. A sentiment can stamped or embossed within the heart.
I hope you’ll come back to visit me Friday, I’ll be posting a “paper” card inspired by this card that I designed using some of Spellbinders beautiful dies.
